  11. distance = initial velocity times time plus one-half times acceleration times time square.

    s=v(i) x t+1/2at(squared), initial velocity = 0 for free falling bodies

    4000miles(1609.344m/mile)=0+(1/2){9.81m/s(squared)}{t(squared)}

    therefore; t=1145seconds(1minute/60seoonds)
    hence,

    t=19minutes.

  32. While your "facts" are interesting, they aren't really accurate. For example, you say the average distance between stars is 20 million miles. Within our galaxy, it's actually 3.5 to 4.5 light years which is about 20 to 25 TRILLION, NOT MILLION. Remember that the earth is 93 million miles from the sun...

  51. Hitler only had one ball is a lie.

    The unsubstantiated claims of a friend of a long forgotten German army medic are frankly unconvincing as evidence.

    Hitler's conscientious physician Dr Theodor Morell, who knew every inch of the Fuhrer intimately and had the trust and affection of his patient, certainly made no mention of it, and neither do any contemporaneous or subsequent medical records.

  58. These facts are mind blowing. AWESOMEEEEE

    ReplyDelete
  59. Alot of mistakes on this one. Firstly #98, not every continent starts and end with the same letter. Best example is Oceania. No longer is the continent named after a country. And what about North and South America? NO I'm sorry despite a common personal belief shared by many, the 2 continents are not called America! They are called SOUTH & NORTH America.

    #5: You make it seem like the asteroid killed all the dinosaurs when it was actually the results of the asteroid that killed them. A super-sized Volcano could have easily done it as well. My problem here is that you present the common belief that an asteroid killed the dinosaurs when it was actually the fact that the sun was blocked out for a long period of time, that killed the dinosaurs. A Volcano, asteroid, or even a Nuclear weapon could cause this type of mass extinction.

    #6: NOT A FACT, merely speculation, have you ever dug a well to the centre of the earth and dropped a brick in? No? so this isn't a fact.

    #9: WTF, doesn't go off where? All the honey Ive consumed in my lifetime has stayed with me all this time?

    #25: Funny how all these fact blogs get this number wrong.

    #28: Everyone uses this fact

    #29: Again everyone gets this number wrong

    #42: Incorrect fact, you forgot to account for all the recycled paper that the New York Times uses, them being one of the most environmentally conscious newspapers on the market at the time.

    #49: Again Incorrect information

    #62: That is defiantly not a fact. With China's population all running at the same time (China = 1 Time zone), it would be easy for them to organize this and attempt it. No one in their right mind would attempt something that has the potential to destroy all living things, so do not include this information because a: it is simply impossible to do this b: it is NOT a fact, it has never been attempted, it has never been debunked or confirmed, so in essence this is just a theory and has no place in a Fact Blog!!

    #100: Incorrect, There are more way to create change for a pound or euro because the
    these 2 currencies have a 2 cent coin.

    Basically this fact page only offered a couple new facts that I didn't know before, but had many more mistakes than any fact blog I have ever read. Please check your "FACTS" before posting something like this and wasting everyone's time with incorrect information.
